Blast Off Eve!

All systems go!

Everything that can be checked has been checked!  I've been spending enough time in the RV for it to feel like "home".  That's a good start!  Just like a studio apartment, only with wheels!  The bonus is, if you don't like where you are "living", you just drive away!

The route has changed just slightly.  I won't be staying near Athens, OH tomorrow night....rather, near Marietta, OH.  Found a FREE campsite there....but only four spaces!  Taking my chances that it won't be "full" on a Monday.  If it is....no worries! There's always Walmart!

Speaking of Marietta, OH, there's a great company there-- Rossi Pasta!  They make all their pasta by hand for the past 33 years.  I visited their establishment many years ago.  If I'm in the vicinity, I'll stop there tomorrow. GREAT pasta and GREAT pasta gift baskets if you are in a quandary about what to give someone...makes a nice hostess gift or gift for those who just like pasta!  And who doesn't?? Check out their website:  www.rossipasta.com.

Want to check out Mound Cemetery, in Marietta, if I have time....did I mention I love photographing in cemeteries??  I have a list via FindAGrave.com from people who would like photos of ancestors' headstones, etc. from this cemetery.  I know...seems kind of morbid, but I don't find it that way at all. Interestingly, this cemetery has the highest number of burials of American Revolutionary War officers in the country.

Anyway, nothing to do now but realize I'm starting a new lifestyle in a few hours!

I'll be posting as I go along, so don't go anywhere!  I think I might start "pages" now with this blog...but .have to figure that out.  Obviously, everything is contingent upon having internet service! But, you understand that!  Technology life as I've known it will come to a screeching halt soon, but that's okay.... it's all what you get used to!  I believe I'm old enough to remember that life moved along peacefully prior to emails and blogs!

For now....Over And Out!

  1. Glad ... but sad that I don't know when I'll see you next. But it's life.
